End-of-Life (EOL) Announcement for SmartEcho Fuel Control Point of Sale

 

Dear Valued Customers,

We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you of an important decision regarding the SmartEcho Fuel Control point of sale (POS) application, including its pay-at-the-pump, prepaid, private label and grocery loyalty modules.

Effective Date: December 31, 2025

​

Reason for EOL: As technology continues to evolve, we are committed to providing our customers with the most advanced and secure solutions available. After careful consideration and evaluation of our product offerings, we have decided to discontinue the SmartEcho Fuel Control POS application. This decision allows us to focus our resources and development efforts on more innovative and scalable solutions that better meet the future needs of our customers.

**Impact on Customers**

  1. Support and Maintenance: As of December 31, 2025, we will cease all support and maintenance services for the SmartEcho Fuel Control POS application. This includes technical support, bug fixes, and security updates.

  2. Functionality: The application will continue to function as expected until the EOL date. However, we strongly recommend transitioning to an alternative solution before this date to avoid any disruption to your business operations.

  3. Data Migration: We will provide assistance with data migration to ensure a smooth transition to a new system. Please contact our support team to discuss your specific needs and the available options.

  4. Fuel Loyalty: We can migrate the existing SmartEcho customer purchase history, rewards and points to our current fuel loyalty system (BLD Loyalty) that integrates with Verifone POS and Gilbarco Passport POS.

  1. Evaluate Alternatives: We encourage you to begin evaluating alternative POS solutions as soon as possible. Our team is available to help you identify and implement a replacement that fits your business requirements.

  2. Plan Your Transition: Develop a timeline and plan for transitioning to a new POS system to ensure continuity in your operations.
